About the Artist

Gillian Smith is an American fine artist and recent graduate of William Smith College (B.A. in Studio Art with concentrations in Painting and Printmaking) who mainly works in Oil Painting, Monoprinting, Woodcut 

Printmaking, Intaglio Printmaking and Silkscreen Printmaking. 

Born and raised in New York, her style was formed during her short time at George Washington University and further shaped during her time at William Smith College. Her summer studies at Parsons School of Design (Animation, Graphic Design and Illustration) and her semester abroad in Rome, Italy also contributed to the development of her style.

Along with Painting and Printmaking, Gillian enjoys working with watercolors, collage and ink.
